Made in the Grasse region
Maison Iris is a French home fragrance house born on the Côte d’Azur. Our natural soy wax candles are hand-poured in the Grasse region. Each fragrance carries the name of the place and the hour that gave rise to it — here, a wood fire in Biot on a winter evening.
Choosing well, using well
Do I need to trim the wick of a Maison Iris candle?
No. Our candles are made to burn without trimming: do not cut the wicks, either before the first use or at any point afterwards. This is a genuine difference from most scented candles on the market.
Shop scented candlesHow do I burn a scented candle for the first time?
Let the wax melt evenly right across the surface of the glass before you put it out — 1 to 2 hours of burning, depending on the size. That first full wax pool is what stops the candle from tunnelling for the rest of its life.
Shop scented candlesWhat is the difference between the 180 g and the 220 g candle?
The fragrance and the wax are identical. The 220 g burns for approx. 60 hours and suits living spaces; the 180 g, approx. 45 hours, is the smaller size, ideal as a gift or for a bedroom.
Shop scented candlesShould I flip the reeds in the diffuser?
Not with Maison Iris: for the longest possible diffusion, leave the reeds exactly as they are. Turning them over releases more scent at once, but empties the bottle far more quickly.
