No. Our candles are made to burn without trimming: do not cut the wicks, either before the first use or at any point afterwards. This is a genuine difference from most scented candles on the market.

Let the wax melt evenly right across the surface of the glass before you put it out — 1 to 2 hours of burning, depending on the size. That first full wax pool is what stops the candle from tunnelling for the rest of its life.

The fragrance and the wax are identical. The 220 g burns for approx. 60 hours and suits living spaces; the 180 g, approx. 45 hours, is the smaller size, ideal as a gift or for a bedroom.

Never leave a burning candle unattended, keep it out of reach of children and pets, and place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from draughts.

Yes. Once the wax has burned down, wash the glass in hot soapy water: it becomes a tealight holder, a brush pot or a short vase.

Our candles are hand-poured in natural soy wax and scented with fragrance compositions from the Grasse region.

Not with Maison Iris: for the longest possible diffusion, leave the reeds exactly as they are. Turning them over releases more scent at once, but empties the bottle far more quickly.

Somewhere people pass through — an entrance hall, a corridor, a living room — but never beneath an air conditioner or a ventilation outlet: the airflow dries the reeds out and carries the scent away instead of diffusing it. Keep it out of direct sunlight as well.

Yes. The 250 ml refill is poured into your original bottle, clean and dry. Replace the reeds once they are saturated: they no longer draw the fragrance up.

Several months — and longer still if the reeds are left in place and the bottle is kept away from draughts and heat.

The 100 ml spray works immediately and on demand: one gesture, one breath, and the room changes just before guests arrive. The diffuser works continuously, with no gesture at all. The two formats can complement each other in the same room.

Spray into the air in the middle of the room, away from open flames, hot surfaces and any source of ignition — the formula is highly flammable. Wash your hands after handling and keep the bottle out of reach of children.

Yes. The concentrates are composed in the Grasse region and the candles are hand-poured in the Grasse region.

Autour d’un feu à Biot (spiced coffee) is the safe choice for autumn and winter; Jardins de la Riviera (iris, rose & citrus) suits a bedroom or bathroom in any season. The candle remains the simplest format to give.

Each order is prepared by hand and dispatched within 3 working days of payment being confirmed. Delivery then takes 2 to 15 working days depending on the destination, and you receive a tracking e-mail as soon as the order ships. Standard delivery is free from €90 of purchases within mainland France. Otherwise: mainland France, standard €7.99 or express €10.99; European Union, €22. Fees are shown before payment.

Report any broken or damaged item to contact@maisoniris-cotedazur.com within 48 hours of receipt, with photographs of the product and its packaging. We will then replace or refund it, whichever you prefer.

Yes. You have 14 days from receipt to change your mind, with no need to justify yourself. The product must be returned unused, unlit and unopened, in a condition fit for resale.
